If the fuel and air were kept clean and serviced, no problems it should be only run in. It is not how many hours but how the hours were run is more important.

						Hello All,
Just wondering whether 1400 hours be acceptable on a Yanmar 2 cylinder diesel small tractor with a mid mount mower fitted to it? Looks like it has only been used for mowing - not towing big trailers around with. The mowers were manufactured between 1983 - 1989. Engine 10.4KW Yanmar 635cc
Kind regards
Lionel

We have plenty of 4 cylinder Yanmars with over 10,000 hours on them in generators - we look after them and they don’t give us any grief.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
As above!

Lionel, I seem to recollect Yanmar diesels powering compressors on refrigerated pantechnicons ,and those little fellows did thousands of hours , all day and all night. Reckon you be good to go with the wee tractor
