    Defender td5 - ECU issues

    Morning all,
The defender won't start :-(, cranking but won't start. It's at my (landrover) mechanic who is pulling his hair out. Yes, the harness is full of oil all the way to the ECU. Fuel presure and all vitals seems fine. Crank Pulse sensor is working and all

Could it be that the imobiliser has kicked in for some reason?
How do I determin if the ECU is stuffed?
    Anyone here perhaps selling one?
    Cheers
    J

If its cranking then its not the immobiliser.... lots of other things to check but fuel pressure, CPS you said its good but on a defender without a tacho you need to check signal from it is getting to the ECU, wiring often breaks.

    Good luck

A good clean of the harness connectors and a bit of oil inside resolved the issue. We did not seal the ecu up with sealant. Not planning to go through deep water soon. Thos enables me to keep an eye on how much is pushing through.

Question, when it was tuned EGT would easily go up to 660 on a hill, that was the temp i had the alarm go off. Now with the temp being ecu back to stock it gets up to 580 max amd never reaches the 660+. I’m guessing lower temp equals slower harness leakage?
