cool, apart from wrecking the radiator if the harmonic balancer came loose it would chip the paint work on the cover....

    some things are just inexcusable....

Sadly, yes Paul. A tilt tray trip back to the fellow who put it on. Last job he did for me. A crying shame, his father passed on to him a thriving and well respected business.

So true, it's amazing the value a carton of beer can elicit. Do they make beer on South Australia?

They do, but no sane person would drink it.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

    Well....

SHE LIVES Td5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain advice

Has been a very long day and all hands on deck.
The giant torque wrench was awesome, so very thankful was able to borrow that! I think I'll be able to return it tomorrow, travelling via my beloved Disco Td5 timing chain advice
Finally got to fire the old girl back up. Took a bit of encouragement as battery was too flat to turn over, thankfully it had managed to power the electric tailgate this whole time. And had to get all fluids through everywhere but so good to hear it run. Smoothest its sounded in a long time! It's been a good opportunity to clean 23 years of muck build up behind and around things too.
Also changed the washer bottle. Wow I think the timing gear was easier Td5 timing chain advice
Im bruised, sore, exhausted..it's been a big couple of months. I'm just glad I think my car is ok.
I need to put grill and headlights back in tomorrow morning then check fluids again and all being well im going to take it for a run Td5 timing chain advice

Nice work, just check that the belt has aligned itself as it looks like it's sitting too far forward on the power steering pulley in the pic.
Also good to keep the UV off the replacement washer bottle with 3M tape, plastic paint etc so it doesn't happen again.

Congrats on a job well done, great to have your wheels back.
