Do you know if the C plate photo was your actual vehicle? Have you found a database for C plates? I have a 1954 86" that I am 90% sure was a Woomera vehicle, and have even found a found a photo of the same vehicle type, year & colour at Woomera, with visible C plate, but have no way of linking them....
No paper trail that its the same vehicle, SMA destroyed vehicle records upon disposal, but when restoring the truck one door had SMA logo remnants , other door had DW Stevenson , Bega. I tracked down the Stevenson family and spoke to DW's son who drove it home from SMA Auction. Heresay suggests its the PW in this photo , as does the matching dent in original fender and running board , The serial number of mine puts it in the first batch of 6 delivered to SMA , which lines up with the 1953 date on the SMA photo. Good enough for VicRoads so I'll take Heresay as fact

Wow, great find and research that. I'd be happy it was the same vehicle.
A bit like trying to find a service photo of my 1942 Willys MB. I've found one with one ARN sequence down in a 1944 New Guinea photo, so close!

Sorry Slunnie, we've gone off topic.....
