Had the misfortune of a bird strike at 100kph - flock of cockies took off just as I was passing and one of them was clever (?) enough to not miss my lower plastic air intake grille (Disco Sport MY17) pushing it back, springing a few tabs and causing the IEB/Cruise control Radar misalignment fault FC C1A67-78 (AC). While a couple of tabs appear to be broken, the grille itself is fine and looks like it might be able to be pushed and pulled back into place, but not just from the front. Some disassembly required. Looking for advice…what parts of the front can be pealed off, hopefully without resorting to removal of the entire front bumper? Is there a picture somewhere? I assume the radar unit itself is directly behind that solid plastic bit in the centre of the grill itself, immediately above the camera. Is that correct (very hard to see in there). So if I succeed in getting the grill back into place, how complex is the radar alignment process? Can this be initiated with the Gap IID tool and a 15-minute drive around? Or is there more to it ?
