Sport Mode TD5
I don't drive that fast but the other day was playing around with the sport mode. Know it is surpose to hold the gears longer, but could not notice any difference. Does anyone think it does anything?
Now I know its a Td5 and not a sports car!

sports mode
I have noticed that it has made a bit of a difference when towing a small caravan (about 1300kg)particulary in hillier country.

I do, it seems to downshift a lot quicker also.

It makes a huge difference when you drag someone of at the lights
Seriously I don't drag people off, it is a diesel afterall. I have found it most useful when towing a horsefloat up hills.

OK. But is it the 4 speed ZF? My set up doesn't have a sport button.

There is definitely a difference in sport mode in a Defender - I threw my shoulder out changing gears and then nearly rolled in the first corner.
