I've not done it.
Bear in mind that a GPS speedo is not ADR compliant, therefore unroadworthy.
Wether anyone would ever know, or if it's is of a concern to you is up to you.

HI
has any one replaced there speedo in a TD5 Defender with a GPS unit.
Mine has stopped working and have been told that it needs replacing or refurb.
I have found a few GPS versions online and am thinking of trying has anyone done this or have any idea.
thanks

Thanks Tony given me something to tgink about
This is a common thing on OKAs, but second the RWC comment. They are probably more accurate than the original, but they are not tamper proof and the odometer doesn’t comply with anything. If it’s your drive and you don’t need to worry about RWC then why not? I’m putting one in my OKA once it’s registered.
