I think you'll have to bite the bullet, & put it on Graeme's dyno. That will show up anything out of round.

Think you might be right Tusker.

John when the diff centre came out I had both propshafts balanced.
The front shaft is a double cardan and the driveshaft guy said he could not get it perfect as the cardan joint itself seemed to be out a little.

    Just another mystery illness.

Depending how far from perfect he got it, that double cardan joint could be the problem. Is your suspension raised? If so, with a double cardan joint on the rear of the prop shaft there will be a constant angle on the front u-joint with no compensation for the varying angular velocity. Won't be much, but it could be a cause of vibration.

when braking at high speed.....do you feel any pulsing in the pedal or the steering wheel....?

and im afraid you cant rule out warped rotors that easy.....
a simple little splash of cold water on a hot rotor is all it can take to warp it enough to push the pads back.....

I had a Renault Fuego that exhibited similar symptoms...one of the vented front discs was cracked. The outer faces were sound but the disc was cracked sectionally...ie the inner face and the outer face were not parallel...

Hey Zook - it is definately the brake pedal - steering feels just fine.
Might pick up a cheap dial guage and check runout on my 'new' disks
