That's why I shared the oil report. I found it really fascinating that my 5w-40 after 5000k was dropping in viscosity without fuel dilution. The fact that the oil analysis place highlighted it as an abnormality suggests it's of concern.

It would have been really really interesting to get the oil report on the 5w-30 but I'm not going to do the experiment myself.

It's worth noting that the book says 30, 40, 50 are all acceptable oil grades in a TD5.
