No one said this wally doesn't agree with you it's just I like to find out all of the facts, potential problems before taking the route of modifying the drainage tubes. And shafts
For the record I intend to get a greasable drive shaft and extend the a/c drain. I just asked how much of a contributing facture this would be to UJ failure.

Q: Is it just the one drain thats all I can see above the uni joint.


I'm actually annoyed at having to modify my car to maintain it's safety, I didn't think this should happen to a 4year old car. Like I said, they're only made for 100000k after that it's somweone elses problem.

I think the disco 2 air-con drains directly onto the joint.
The other thing why do people call it a front tail shaft?
Tail usually means after or follow, the are drive shafts.

I'm inclined to agree!
Heat build up in the joint, though obviously not hot so to speak, and then some wading would I think cause some water ingress into the uni itself much like a boat trailer wheel bearing only not as extreme.
Surely being able to grease and displace the water as well as fresh grease would be an advantage over non greasable.:unsure:
