It is an auto. I recently had an new air filter installed while it was getting a new computer fitted due to the abs ect warning lights being on constantly. The dealer told me that it might be using extra fuel due to the computer going into its basic settings. It still seems to be heavy on fuel.

Do u know if they reset all the adaptions on all ECU's while replacing i presume the ABS ecu??
If they have reset adaptions then it will for a few tanks fulls as it is now learning your driving style, i reset all mine a few weeks ago as i had to repair my auto ecu wiring loom, reset all adaptions, the vehicle runs heaps better but does use slightly more fuel.
Does the vehicle run ok at all rpm, doesnt miss or get sluggish at higher rpm? This may be the MAF. I am just guessing at the moment, not like its in the w/shop with T4..

I have only put unleaded in, no premium - I almost put some in last time i filled but changed my mind at the pump, probably has something to do with the prices, anyway. I have no preference of brand yet, but I am using a database program that splits and reports by brand, location, month etc. but requires more information to be of an use.

15 litres per 100 kms in the Discovery Series II V8 around town is pretty bloody good.

I've got a lot of heavy accessories and my normal around town figure is closer to 19-20 litres per 100.

I put in a thread last night about fine tuning my 2003 Disco V8 as she had a very slight rough idle due to new leads and platium plugs. Mate of mine told me to take it for a good run and to use my famous heavy left foot. So with sports mode and a full tank, I took 104km run along hilly country back roads and refilled her with 14.9l. It idles better now but not 100% perfect. I would love to be able to hook the Disco to my laptop and play with few things since it looks like you need the LR computer to fine tune.
