    Old TD5 parts....

Im seeing a lot of posts about problems with various things in the fuel system of the TD5's What ID like to know is has anyone got parts left hanging around that are no good Im thinking along the lines of

Injectors, the intank fuel pump, throttle sensors,

What Im hoping to do is take these fubar peices and see exactly what it takes to unfubar them enough to get you home or whats the cheapest thing you can replace them with to achieve the same result.

In my wildest dreams Id publish the end results in "Davos how to con your Landrover into going the last mile" and it'd be free to anyone who had a brain and a landrover.

Im in an ideal situation ATM for doing these kinds of experiments as while Im sucking eggs on my mechanics course I've got access to all kinds of top of the line rebuild gear.

Sorry I will be putting all the bits back in mine. Getting the injectors removed tomorrow and then having them cleaned and checked.

Mines back in one piece as well. I don't think you could repair a chaffed plastic fuel line though, perhaps rubber hose sleeving it with a lot of clamps
