I went with a "GLO" or Great Lakes Offroad D60 cover. It is fabricated rather than cast, which allows for easier mods if needed.

This is the very thread which inspired me to try a very mild shave.
Arb supply their cover with the correct bolts for a salisbury.
I gained about 25mm and a much better shaped diff housing.
This was without leaving the drain plug unprotected and still inplace.
I could have done much more, but I went with caution.
The ARB cover is very good and strong........it has a dip stick to check the old level and a extra on the cover drain plug for people who want to go much futher with the diff shave.
Stock salisbury has much unneeded metal hanging down around the bottom of the diff housing, so getting 25mm increase in clearence is easy, but the biggest again is in the much improved smoothness and shape of the bottom of the diff, so if you do , do the salisbury plow it creates less drag.
On the 101 I did this front and rear diffs.
If you want oil tight, you need a after market cover.
standard defender 130 shape
101 rear
my current clearence is well over 11 inches in the old currency running tyres which measure 35 inch in the real world.
I'll have to take some more photo's, I've lost the originals that were in this thread.
To get an idea I went up to and broke through the bottom bolt hole, so I had to relocate the bottom bolt, it's obvious in that photo that the bottom bolt is sideways and up from where it was originally.
The ARB cover works well, shaved well too
Pre-shave
post shave and i could have taken alot more off it.. oh no problems with leaks at all either.
