Just bought the ones on ebayIt was the bent ones I wanted wasn't it
Oh well, nothing that a bit of heat and a sledge won't fix.
I was quoted $110 to have the rad rodded, sound reasonable??
Would the cranked handle have helped?Originally Posted by incisor
I guess that it could be bent with a bit of heat applied in a vice.

Yeah all the extras add up. $260 for him to do the lot, remove, rod out and replace, but seeing as I like playing with my cars I'm going to do the bits I can do.Originally Posted by Pedro_The_Swift
another option.....if you have a grinder....
get a cheap spanner (but a good quality one) from the markets ro trash and treasure.....
then if its doesnt fit just grind the head down a bit thinner till it just fits in the gap......
i once bought some stahlwille spanners from a trash and treasure market.....
i think i got about six or seven spanners for $20.....the smallest of which would have been about 30mm......
to buy those back then would have cost well over $80 each new......these didnt look like they had been used much.....
our auto electrician took one and modified it for this exact job.......
I messaged the seller about the cranked spanners and he sent back this link.Originally Posted by incisor

When you go to work on it, cut some cardboard to size, and tape it over the radiator before you start, will stop most of the damage to the fins...
