service + a couple of seals and now have a handbrake back

did some running repairs on the fender this morning.

t-case output seal - umm i only did it four months ago so i got a mechanic mate to assist this time, i had a speedi sleave just incase but it was not needed, a couple of good tips he showed me, firstly we loaded the seal face up with grease and secondly we used a loctite sealant on the spline, i'm guessing this is where the oil was coming from, i also fitted new handbrake shoes

rear diff pinion seal - pretty straight forward, the yoke had already been speedi sleeved before

Diff breathers - removed the banjo fittings and blew compressed air through the pipe to ensure they were not blocked

prop shafts - greased and new nuts when we refitted the rear prop shaft, the rear u j on the front prop shaft wouldn't take grease through the nipple, must buy a new one

engine - dropped the engine oil and changed the engine oil filter and the cav fuel filter, normally the fuel filter fills by itself when i start the engine, not this time, after a little bit a cranking wiith the starter motor she was runing again

    things to do
    - all the suspension bushes need replacing
    - the shroud between the inter cooler hose and the turbo needs rewelding
    - sump gasket needs replacing
    - tappet cover gasket needs replacing

ok did all the suspension bushes on friday afternoon along with fitting an upgraded track rod? 'rear steering rod'

gee i cannot believe how quite the rig is not, no knocking noises, clunks, bumps, no more wondering all over the road

the radius arms were flogged out bad along with the rubbers that attach to the chassis for both the radius arm and trailing arms

mr automotive looked after me as always, they supplied the whole kit with the option of returning the bits i didn't use, i.e. all the bolts were in good nick along with me aleady having the radius arm rubbers. i couldn't be bothered pressing out the old bushes so i got exchange radius and trailing arms.

are she's a pleasure to drive now
