    Centre Console 4 Defender

    G'day All

I'm about to pull the middle seat outta the Princess and was wondering if anyone has a centre console for sale. Some licensed bandit wants a ****load of money for them new and if anyone has a genuine one for sale I'd be willling to part with cash to obtain one.

Does onyone have a good pic of an original? I have no idea what they loook like.

    Regards,

This pic isn't a genuine one, but it looks like it. It is nicked from the exmoor trim site.
Any Landy wrecker should have a few. Just might have to do a ring around.

Stevo, seen as your making a camping bus, tourer, make your own out of MDF and have it professionally upholstered, as the original is just a big box with a tray on the front, your own design will probably be better , cheaper and easy to fit on the seating box

Yeah, there's not too much involved with the original... even if you upholster it yourself, can't be that difficult

I'm a fitter by trade but timber n I don't get on. I might knock up a box and see how I get on getting it upholstered tho.

    Cheers,

You could make one up out of thin steel plate (easy to weld), put a lock on it, and then you'd have a nice vehicle "safe" to store your valuables in. You'd need to put on a soft top for your elbows though.

When I modified my def console box to house the UHF and also added some power outlets, I just glued (aquahere) some grey vinyl to the extra ply I used. Also took the vinyl to the paint shop and had some Landy grey made up to paint the un-vinyled bits. Worked well!
