Hmm, I can't see how that would be wired. An LED only draws about 20 mA and (usually) has a resistor in series with it when connected to 12v.Quote:

Sorry I was a bit vague when you called tonight. I was in bed trying to get a couple of hours kip before starting work at 11pm. Usually Elisabeth doesn't bring the phone in to the bedroom after I've hit the sack.
Re the Engels, I have two. One is very old and may need regassing. I need a friendly fridgie to tell me if it worth repairing. I'll have to take it to Rick130 :D
I still remember the story by a couple in the LROC (Kerry Dennewald and and her partner, er, umm, forgotten) whose Cruiser had run off the road and rolled many times a long way down a hill. When everything had stopped, they were stuck against a tree, and hanging upside down, the silence was broken by the Engel starting up.

the fender would have flattened out down to the centre cubby box.......
the roof has no strength without a rolcage or a cargo barrier......
Cruisers, Defenders, Disco,s older RR's, Nissans etc all roll about the same - Splat! The roof pillers just aren't up to it.
If it wasn't for a Milford cargo barrier I wouldn't have survived when my disco rolled and neither would the Engel. I also know of a few Nissan and Cruiser drivers in the same situation.

The Idea of changing the way the Engle lid opens is perfect for me but what have others done about the transit bag? Do u just open that 1st then the Engle lid? I'll do the mod next week and take some pics!!
