I did hear a budget figure bandied around somewhere. I don't recall exactly, but 160 000 pounds seem to ring a bell.
That is a fantastic DVD. He explains what he is doing, and how things work (like how to MIG and TIG weld) which is very interesting. Would like to know what his budget was though - he just got the best of everything.Originally Posted by Phoenix

and over 2200 man hrs
Well i have all the bits minus a motor! so far its set me back about 2000 including the old stripped down imported defender body/chassis/motor, rangie chassis, and some good condition county front doors.
It could be done alot cheaper if you use series bits, it would have only cost me 300 so far if i was going series stuff.
But if i decide to sell the 110 chassis and running gear i should recoup some of my money
If you were a bit closer I would be tempted by the 110 chassis, etc to go under my Kingswood ute...Originally Posted by cal415

Whats going rate for a 110 chassis? its about an 87, with both diffs and suspension still there, the chassis is in good nick, has some rust through the top of the 2 front outriggers where the firewall sat, otherthen that its in good nick

Just need to buy a decent MIG welder someday to do it properly.
