Fair enough, but are there any real or significant differences in LR washers compared to off the shelf ones? Excuse my ignorance as I am by no means a mechanic. When is a 12mm washer of 3mm thickness not appropriate for this application?

use harden washers as some are only mild steel and will wear or get pounded thinner and cause the bolt to come loose

It should be ok. The bolt isn't hardened and the thread is preloaded.
    Cheers

Yeah I reckon I should be right as I have loctited the bolts in and unless the stops are constantly being rammed home, the washers should hold....will keep checking though and if I come across hardened washers on my travels will grab some.

Cheers for all the input guys, Mick
