Well, now they may put the TDV6 into the Defender, as it won't compete with it's TDV8 upmarket stablemates, instead of hampering the Defenders potential with a 4cyl. We can only hope.

No, both will be produced and sold alongside one another, but not in all models. Not TDV8 in the discovery as of yet. Premium engine so to speak.

No because the TDv6 is not in the Vouge . This engine is for the Vouge not the Disco /range rover sport

Just wait until the Australia mag's review it. They'll love it 'cause its a V8 but bag it for being under size as it's not above 4.0 litre.

Seems strange how the Defender's getting the 4 cyl 2.4TD Ford Transit motor and this will relegate the TDV6 to base RR and Disco's. Would be nice if they pushed the TDV6 into the 07 Defender... and even nicer if it were the TDV8

even at a serious lean angle that puts them way down the side---
