Theres a really good aftermarket set i got fitted after doing the whole "you want how much, to install what, and its going to frell the access to the back of my vehicle"conve rsation with the idjits from the blue oval... I went to another local installer and for the same money got a much better jobbie installed.

If you like PM me and I'll clean the crap out of big red and take pics for ya.

The NSW guys have to get the special bar due to their state specific regs. I spoke to a company in FTG which do aftermarket seating and in VIC you can mount the bolts to the wheel arch.

I saw a new Holden people mover where the restraints were straight down on the floor behind the seats (3 rows of seats), which really counters the NSW argument that it should be at some sort of angle.

More info on the previous discussion.

mate is that the one with the uprights that go just behind the seats or the long flat bar that goes across the rear just inside of the door?

    Dave.
Its the bar that goes from one side to the other, runs along the top of the back seat or just below it... NOT the upright that sits in the middle of the floor.

ive seen 3 types of the bar...

one looks for all the world to be a tubular bar with both ends hammered flat where it bolts onto the sponsons either side of the well in the back with the 3 restraints spread on the bar.

another has a pair of flats that attach to the back near the top of the seat back again with the restraint mounts spread across the bar

the third looks like the first one on the ends, but it has 1-3 prongs that stick up about 30-40 cms that mount the attachment points for the restraints. although I suspect this one was a home brew jobbie.

Im chasing the second type but really only want it so I can clone the mount points that attach it to the vehicle.
