    Wheel nuts for steel rims?

I have just fitted my LR steel rims to me D2 using the alloy wheel nuts but am wondering if I can get hold of wheel nuts to better suit the steel rims as the alloy ones stick out a fair bit?

Anyone know if they are different nuts for the steel rims and where the best place to buy them from is?

    Aye, Mick

There are differant nuts for the steel and alloy rims. If this is any help the Land Rover part number for the steel rim wheel nuts is ANR4851.

Most of the aftermarket LR places like Ritters will have the nuts. They are about $4 each though from memory.

I got some from 4WD Motors in Fairfield Road YeerongPilly recently. I don't think they were as much as that. I can have a look when I get home.

I got charged $5 each for a set (including second hand ones) at a supplier not to be named until after the episode of ACA airs! (well I wish).
I think the going price is $3-$5 new and $1-$2 second hand.

Of all places, I actually bought mine (for a D1) from Land Rover in Arncliffe, Sydney. The sparts parts guy was most helpful and said he would see if he could find a set for me - he found me 23 of them - called me back, and they were mine for $40. (EDIT: They were second hand).

Before I rang them, I emailed a few places for prices and I could have had them delivered for about $60 odd I think.

Not sure if DII are the same.

    Mick,
The ones I got from fwdmotors were for a series II and they were $1.10 each. Might be worth a phone call 38489323.

I got set of new for $40 from local wreckers. Had to wait 3 days because nuts were delivered from other wreckers shop (network around Australia). So, worth to check them first i recon

Disco 2 nuts are a different thread to Disco 1.
2nd hand D2 nuts would be hard to come by I'd imagine as the steel wheels only came out on the base 2001 model.
