    Aye, Mick

UNDER NO!!!! CIRCUMSTANCES use steel wheel nuts on alloys or vice versa..........

Steels need nuts with a taper in the base in order to seat [centre] the rims AND GRIP TIGHT

alloys need a captive [spinning] washer to centre and firmly attach wheel to centre.....tapers if done upwith rattle gun can FRACTURE alloys!....will NEVER get to correct torque before alloy breaks!!!!!

Late alloy wheel nuts do have a tapered section to allow use with steel wheels.
For a while, Disco2s were supplied with alloy road wheels & steel spares.

Late Disco 1s were also supplied with 4 alloys, one steel. I can definitely use the alloy nuts for the steel wheels (they look ridiculous though), but not steel nuts for alloys.

Yep, my alloy nuts have the tapper on them and fit the steelies.....although do stick out a bit which is why I would like the correct nuts for the steel rims if I can.

Those are "good" numbers according to Telstra.

    Telstra also has this listed:
    www.franktonitto@bigpond.com.au
but it appears to be a mix of a website & an email address .
