If it's still as "factory", the rear exhaust is one piece on the 92 RR.

Someone might have replaced the front muffler only before, in which case there might be a joint/weld behind the front muffler.

I just had my exhaust on my 87 Rangie replaced with a 2 1/4 pipe with aftermarket muffler (nice big one, cost about $90 for the muffler).

I now have a burble but not a droan or roar of some exhaust. Cost about $175 from the y-piece.
