    Srs

    The SRS lamp is staying on. Do I have to pay a visit to a dealer or is there a fix I can do myself?

    The wriggling of the seat unfortunately isn't the only solution to an SRS light staying on.............there would be several unanswered questions.

    ..............however checking the seat belt tensioner connections may be all it is.

    I had an SRS light displayed on my D1 1996 - the fault was the rotary coupler had failed - and given the nature of the animal - it is prone to fail.

    You can test them with a half decent test meter - just check continuity on the connections after removal.

    May be an easy fix - if you can buy a 2nd hand replacement - if that is in fact the fault - sometimes ebay carry them.

    Hi Maggsie
    Mine been annoying me since january,on off on off as it pleased.The post came up to check all the connections under both front seats.I wriggled mine,re-started it and no SRS light.It seemed large bumps were setting it off,have hit a few speed humps at speed since and it no longer lights.
