    Scuba Tank installation

Had to get my gas tanks tested, so I thought I'd take some pics of the installation.

Took about 4 hours to get them out. The tow bar bolts didn't want to play the game.
Took about an hour to install.
The hardest part was jacking them up into position.

The tanks are 45L water capacity each.

The most I have ever put in them is 62L.
They are now both empty, I guess I'll be putting in about 70L.

Looks identical to my set up (Disco 96) except I have twin 'H66' tanks rated at 44L water and 35L LPG. Trouble is, when empty I can fit in 80L

I called APA with this in mind and was told "ah, you've some spare capacity so don't worry" so I won't (I think!).

This link takes you to an APA wall chart that's handy if you know what you have fitted...

My only gripe is that the LED-segmented gauge is miles off; never reaches anywhere near full and shows red (aargh feed me!) on half a tank/tanks or more!

Never thought of it that way

Anway, filled them up this morning.
They filled a LOT slower than normal.
Took 15 mins, and I got 75L in.

(Oh, they are the APA H66 tanks)

    I've got twin sill tanks.
They hold about 30/35L each (depending on the bowser).
    Fill through the wheel arch.
Been running around the last 3 weeks on petrol. That's not fun. Way too expensive.
