No such thing as a 3.0 litre Land Rover turbo diesel in the Discovery.

There is a 3.0 litre turbo diesel in the Range Rover Mark III but that's actually a BMW motor, and soon to be replaced by a V8 turbo diesel. Yummy!

The 200 series and 300 series TDi only ever came in 2.5 litres. There's now an aftermarket company in Spain that makes a 2.7 litre version of that engine, but I can't remember the name. Something like TGV, if I'm not wrong.

Try Navistar/International Engines Brazil. They made the 300Tdi from '99 until a month or two back and make the HS 2.8 TGV & WG

don't know. Someone once said to me that Ricardo had a heavy hand in it's development, but I've never confirmed that.
