Did the OME springs have the same free length, most Landie springs are different across the vehicle ie FR/FL

I 've just fitted OME suspension all round; springs, shocks and damper, on my '91 Discovery V8. for some reason i now have a ride height difference of 17mm from left to right. The drivers side(left) sits noticeably higher (not a problem with the original shocks & springs). spoke to ARB and they reckon I should anticipate up to 10mm difference as a maximum. there is no damage to the chassis mounts or shell. measurements are being taken from the lower wheel rim to the edge of the wheel arch at the same position on each wheel. any input/advice much appreciated.

It could be possible that one of the springs is not fully seated in its upper mount, have a look and see if they are in all the way concentrically.
This is not as unusual as it seems. It is quite easy to do when fitting springs.

i will be trying to problem solve with streaky over the next few weeks.
Are the springs marked as drivers side and passengers side, or left and right? If they are different, maybe they are specified for RHD installations.
the springs were labelled and fitted as follows:
Front Left OME761 A
Front Right OME761 B
Rear Left OME762 A
Rear Right OME762 B
The vehicle is lefthand drive so perhaps it might help if i swopped them over.
Hi
I think you may have hit the nail on the head,if they are RH drive springs there would be a slight difference in the springs for the drivers weight and the camber on the road for driving on the LH side.
Driving on the RH side would mean the springs are opposite both for the drivers weight and the camber.
I would check with OME before changing them over but it would account for your lean.

Andrew what you are saying is correct. I am not completely familiar with the layout of a discovery however when I fitted a 2" lift to my tray back patrol I noticed the same thing and when I went back and questioned the dealer they came back with the same reasons, fuel tank, driver, road camber and to compensate for this the RHS spring is stronger and therefore has a different load rating to the LHS.
To solve the problem and give an even ride height I purchased an additional spring set and fitted a rh spring to the LHS and now everything is good.
DO NOT under any circumstance fit packers to the rear of a vehicle as a dealer did to mine and it started to come out causing the spring to bow and if left it would have sprung out.
Someone may be able to help me out here as I am having a hard time understanding why we need all of this fine tuning on springs when it never seemed to be a problem on older vehicles and was unheard of on leaf spring vehicles. Granted they are two totally different systems, however surely coils are not sensitive to the point of being effected by the weight of the driver and one fuel tank.
