    Sunroof woes (you around, Chunk?)

    Hi people,
My sunroof won't close! It opened about 40mm and then quit. It's not the fuse because there's still a little 'clunk' on hitting the switch so hopefully something's jammed and the motor's not fried.
Good job we're short of rain it the moment
Chunk, if you read this, how did you get on with your sunroof?

Hi , I think its the gear wheel inside as mine has done the same thing ,bits of gearing have broken off , a secondhand 1 is $250 at Ritter's in Melbourne , but I'm not paying that as I have the rear close now with old motor to lock it in and wait for a bargain to come my way,
    cheers4now alex

p.s. if it the electric motor on your sunroof and you get other 1 ,I buy the old 1 of you as I just need the gearwheel cheers

Yes, Haynes mentions something about manually turning the motor with the supplied Allen key (?) but it's a little vague (the manual, not the key!).
I'll pull the front of the headliner away tomorrow and have a peek...
