    exhaust knock

well i have been looking for annoying knock under my disco for awhile and now have found the problem , where the exhaust pipe comes out of the centre muffler and then heads up ways again it is knocking on the A-frame . Is there a reason why the exhaust pipe is routed up ways ? or can i just make it straight through from after the muffler ?

    D1 v8i , no resonator

Its has to either go over the axle, or under it

or have it sticking out the side like a race car

check that none of the rubber exhaust hangers have broken......
or your engine mounts havent collapsed......
assuming nothing on the exhaust system has come loose....broken....or bent....

Yes it does. If it isn't just right the axle will touch on compression or the A frame will touch on extension of the suspension.
