    gday

    jamie here from WA , got a 99 Defender td5 and am keen to learn about how i can chip it up?? any ideas would be appreciated . is it a good thing or to be avoided , what are the pros and cons??

    lots of options, the internet is your friend on that one, we have a couple of people in here that have offers relating to em but theyre all on the wrong side of the country (yes thats every state/teritory to the right of the really big state that takes up the left side of the map)

    Let me know how you wind up going as Big Red is nigh on out of warrentee and is due for some fiddling.

    thanks for the advice , i can get one done but what will it do for my defender. are there any drawbacks with having the standard td5 chipped up. do i have to upgrade my def in other ways(brakes??). is it meant to give much better performance??

    I doubt you'd need to touch the brakes, they're the same as the 4 litre V8 Defenders sold elsewhere and the earlier Range Rovers.
