Exclamation Air flow snorkel, yes or no

Is it worth while getting one via ebay (cheep/nasty) or should I fork out more money, drive south and find one of the other brands.

i have one and have had no problems at all.... i prefer the squarer shape and different finish... and it certainly does the job just fine.

they can be a little harder to fit, but hell it aint rocket science.....

airtec and safari have a rounder shape while the airflow has squarer profile. the safari has a screw forward of the inlet thru the panel and the airflow doesnt. i see plenty of all three around and i have yet to see any of them broken or cracked. personally i dislike the way the safari looks like it is lifting away from the panel at the front, but it is just the way they are moulded.

no matter which one you get, make sure you measure everything 3 times before you start driling holes :P

I'd recommend going with the tried, tested and trusted Safari and nothing else.

    Hi all ,

Not many comments / opinions on Airtec snorkel . Usually its a debate between Airflow & Safari . So , how is Airtec for a D2 ?

i had an AIRTEC on my D1, they fit well and no big problems, but over 6 months it warped slightly causing a small space in the snorkle to guard.

if you can spend the extra $100 and get the Safari.....

My Fender has a Safari and its a good fit.

Check for air leaks on any install by running the engine and placing your hand over the top. listen for leaks....
