    Td5 running rough

Our 2000 Td5 Disco has started running rough today. Feels just like a petrol engine when 1 plug doesn't fire.
It starts off ok, but once I get above 2000rpm, it starts to run rough and struggles to maintain 2000rpm.
When I pull over it idles rough for about 10 secs, then settles down and the whole cycle starts again.
I've done a search on the oil in harness problem, and had a look at the harness connector. No sign of oil at the connector where the harness comes out of the rocker cover.

    Where to next?

could be starving for fuel at higher rpms/load

load her up and try it at lower rpms, if the symptoms occur at lower speed and more load you might not be getting full fuel pressure in the supply to the injectors...

if thats the case then it could be your pump... (have someone sit behind the vehicle and listen to it while you cycle the key on and off. (30seconds between swithces and keep your foot of the noise pedal)

There are other things it could be but thats about the easist to check...

How long since you changed the fuel filter?

Sounds like the injector loom has started to admit oil.

Could also be the air inlet hose from the intercooler to the turbo delaminating?
Mine did something similar when this occurred, ran rough lost power then would only idle with clouds of black smoke!
New hose fixed it, apparently a fairly common problem?

Could also be an injector failing.
