I have just rec'd the connectors, the jiffy box etc., to try and work out a solution for this problem - I may have it wired up by the end of the w/end - but who's game to try it. I don't have a TD5
It basically consists of a box with two x 6 pin plugs (unfortunately there are 7 wires and I couldn't get 8 pin plugs) and two 6 pin sockets.
You cut the wires just before it enters the rocker cover and fit the plugs/sockets each end - then plug it into the 'little box' - it can be removed - and the plugs/sockets can just join up to remake the circuit.
I guess a little sketch would be better - not brilliant as explaining my projects
The little box will have loop wires in it encased in a high density sponge, that can me removed at service intervals and replaced/washed/cleaned plus a drain plug on the base to take excess oil to waste through a tube
In theory it should work....................
