    wow well that makes a change. On uk forums when i say take the engine out you get a barage of NO you don't want to do that take the gearbox out. Its alot easer mmmmm
    I have always taken the engine out as it is by far the easer way to do it. Plus any floor i have taken up in a land has never come up easy or gone back down easy. So i tend to leave them well alone

    In the Army we would always remove the motor before the box. the rear main was a common fault on the 3.9 Isuzu motor. However I don't think the civiy ones were mthat bad.

    Took mine in to my local LR specialist for a check - he said it is barely weeping and not an issue at this stage.
