    pump up your tyres???????

    Hi has anyone converted a new shape Range Rover air suspension pump to inflate tyres ? I have come accross a few pumps.and a couple of D3 pumps

    havent seen one yet, any chance of winging one this way for me to eyeball and play with... send 2 I'll pay for the bits to set them up and send back one as an on board aircompressor for you

    They hardly cope with maintaining the ride level in the suspension, let alone cope with inflating tyres.
    I would think the thermal cut out would be a problem but if anyone wants to try one, I can access a few D3 pumps that will be thrown out soon.

    I don't suppose a decent 12v fan would counter the thermal cutoff long enough to pump 4 tyres up?

    But if one was to install one with a storage tank the thermal overload may be negated if the tank was kept topped up via a switch when needed?????
