D3 second-row seats
We'll be getting our new D3 next month and kitting it out as our 'round Oz retirement buggy. We've never owned a vehicle with leather seats before so our question is this: Because the 2nd row seats will be permanently folded down, will the leather rub against itself and wear? Would we be better off just taking them out of the vehicle? If we did, our major problem would be somewhere to store them as we've sold the house in preparation for the trip.
We've already been told that if we put canvas seat covers on the front seats they will wear the leather unless we put some soft material between the covers and the seats, so that got us thinking.
Any help would be of great assistance.

I have leather in my D2, and the third row seats are normally folded, it's only the odd occasion that they are used for 'extra children' - and I have no 'rub' wear on them at all.
The vehicle has done 95,000 km so far and there are no signs.
Whilst the D2 3rd row seat fold a different way, I still feel that you wouldn't have a problem, but if you really wanted to be sure you could always pop some soft cloth material between the squabs and the seat cushion before you fold them down
