    Replacing D2 rear speakers

Hey all, i hope this goes in here. I have a pair of Sony 6x9 speakers from another car just sitting in their box. I would like to replace my existing OE rear speakers. What is it like trying to remove the rear door trim on a D2? Are there lots of little pain-in-the-ass gizmos to get caught up or is it a relatively simple operation?

    Any help is appreciated

Very easy job, remove the little grille, I think it's 6 or 8 screws (the middle ones are shorter than the end ones)

Then remove the 8 screws holding the speaker box to the door, disconnect the multi plus - and bob's your uncle

    Hi Pedro
I wouldnt have thought so unless you get them up real high. When the back is full of gear the sound will be muffled too much.Put em in the back doors and blast the back seat passengers

I like it when parts of certain tracks originate from around the review mirror

    Hi,
The 6x9 will not fit in original holes.
Only 5" speakers will fit in original holes.

Been there done that put 5" 3 way 150 watt speakers in.

    cheers

Does anyone know what the original CD player model number is? Plus how much actual power per channel the unit is pumping out?
