Good idea. Place it somewhere you can get at it easily, and point it the right way, with the open end of the filter canister uppermost so you don't spill hot oil over your hands and the engine bay and garage floor when changing. While you are at this, plumb in an oil radiator as well. There are plenty of vehicles that have remote oil filters, all Slant Six Chryslers for a start. In the past I made up adaptors for Holdens and Chrysler Hemi 6's to avoid the oil spill problem, and also to fit oil radiators.Originally Posted by George130
