Thread: Disco vs Defender ECU

Hi all,

I want to carry a spare ECU for my TD5 130 Defender, being a bit wary of electronics far from home.

Can anyone tell me if the ECU from a Discovery is a plug-in replacement for the Defender please?

I know the Disco is in a higher state of tune - is this due to hardware, or is it just the ECU mapping?

Are there any other non-user-servicable parts that one ought to carry?

You will need to get the spare ecu programmed with your injector codes.
