Need help with Holden 186 project

I need help with the accelerator linkages on a Holden 186 in my IIA project. When I got it there was no accelerator at all as the PO had part completed a restoration. I have chased a lot of parts and have the linkages all fitted to the carby side. I need to get from the transverse rod to the carby.
Does anyone have a 6 cylinder Series IIA or Series III with a 186 that they can advise me how it was connected?

    Thanks,
    Russ

    Smile 186 motor

I had a Ser III 6 cy 78 model army chassis, converted to a 186 back in '90 but I sold it in 99, not enough seats for the family. From memory the connection was similiar to the previous photo as there was a cable connected to the carbie. It worked without any problems but I couldn't use the hand throttle.
I had high ratio diffs fitted and using overdrive on the highway it could cruise all day at up to 100kph forget the fuel consumption figures but it was better than what the 6 could do. May have lost power down low but up here there is not much steady low range slogging.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

It is a work in progress but I am slowly getting there. It is always a bit more of a challenge when you did not pull it apart and not all the parts are there.

Just got the seats back after being recovered and tracked down a console for the roof which now has a CD player in it.

Will post a few photos when I get a chance.

    Cheers,
    Russ
