pics please. i went from 255/85 to 7.50 there is a wider choice of tyres and availability when you need to replace one. plus my 255 cooper LT wore really quickly on the black top. i now have michelin xzy.
i just fitted new 7.50/16 oylimpic steel treks on army 6" rims to my Defender
took the 31x10.5/15,s bfg muddys off
man has it transformed the ride and handling it drives totaly different![]()
the wheels i had the muddys on were old classic rangie centres fitted to 15x7" rims and i think that could have been the problem wrong off set![]()
apart from looking silly with very skiny tyres im impressed with the drive and they are quiet compared to the bfg,s![]()

your going to love the treks... they're my goto tyre specially if you can get the 12ply rated ones. (and I have a cheap source)
One day I'll find the copy of the 4x4 mag that did the tyre test with em (this would be 6 odd years ago now) they were the only tyre to score in every section over 50%.

i have a set for off roading, i don't like them at 100km/h though the bends, not bad off road though
