    salsbury into rangie front and rear

    G'day all im considering putting a sals rearouta a fender into my rangie has any one done this and will it bolt straight up are the overall lengths the same from disc to disc i know i will have to change the spring seats any other info on this would be great

    Also would like to do a sals front

    The suspension links are all the same, same ratio, same track should be a bolt in. Does it have discs on it ? If its a drum rear it may cause some problems.
    This has been done before.

    Yep its a disk brake jobbie i thought it was guna be a straight bolt up just wanted to here sum thoughts of the wise on ere thanx

    a mate of mine has a sals in his rangie ute i dont know what its out of but he wished he still had a banjo type diff

    he keeps getting hung up on the diff

    I'm pretty sure you'll need to shorten the tail shaft as the Sals has a longer pinion nose.

    As rangieman said, unless you shave it, (and it's very easy to cut 3/4" off it) it will hang you up.

    Yeah the Salisbury can be a bit of an anchor.

    not if you get intimate with an angle grinder - same clearance as a rangie diff

    with my welding skills - hmmmmm probably
    but I reckon its way overbuilt to start with.

    Nce work crossy I like the bash pan its a ripper have u got a pic of the under side of the housing wre u choped and welded this thought of triming the bottom of the housing was allreddy im my mind and yes ive herd plenty of fender drivers complaining about the sals anchor but a good trim would fix it and its a better diff than a banjo IMO
