And outside Temp too....
Water sensor for the fuel sedimenter - also connected to an alarm.
For those of us who want to burn chip fat (SVO), a fuel temperature sensor and a feed to power an electric solenoid valve once the svo tank gets to a preset temperature.
Oh ........ and a hot chick alarm ..... I usually miss them when Annettes not there to point them out;)[/QUOTE]
Schmezz..does annette read your posts!!! Does she really do that for u??
If so I am very impressed.

-- What about a turbo pressure readout? PSI or Bar.
Nup, there is no electronic signal with the boost presure (or is there?)
- Tacho
Nup, again there is no signal to pick up (again ... or is there?)
- Clock (everything's got a clock nowdays!)
Look at your wrist .. mine has 2, one of the Radio and the one where the tacho should be (tight **** LR)
- Cabin temp (so SWMBO doesn't complain to much)
Nup, open the vents if its hot, no use knowing how hot you are unless there is something you can do about it.
- And outside Temp too....
Hmm Nup, like cabin temp, why would you need to know this, just get outa the car, if its hot, its hot :-)
- Water sensor for the fuel sedimenter - also connected to an alarm.
Car has one already doesnt it ? it lights up when all goes bad ? or when you replace it and all goes bad eh rob?
Tacho - The pickup is from alternator.
Clock - I wasn't really serious on this one, but you must admit every bloody electric gadget has a clock display on it.
Cabin/Outside temp - Never gets cold enough in the top end to worry about so I don't mind if you leave it out. Need 2 settings. Hot and Don't get out of the car
Add an oil pressure alarm.
My home-grown unit sounds its alarm if there's no oil pressure, although it doesn't do it until there's already been oil pressure (after engine startup) . It also sounds its alarm if there IS oil pressure (faulty switch) prior to engine startup, but only for 5 seconds in case the driver needs to drive the vehicle even with a faulty switch.
I suspect that your dad does PIC or PICAXE programming.
Maybe allow a fuel guage so if you have a water tank you could plug it in to tell you how low you are. Otherwise sounds good.
