    What the hell is this!!

    What the hell is this???

Ok i am pulling out a lot of the old wiring and re routing it to fit a larger battery on the drivers side of the my 1993 Vogue SE. I pulled the front grill of and this little critter was hanging out of its holder covered in mud It's located to the top of the rhs headlight. Will take another pick tonight of it natural habitat but ULR have NFI and so do 2 other rover places..

Looks like a temperature switch. Like one that would turn your thermo fans on at a given temp.

well that what i thought but i have no need for a temp sensor and rave manuals say nothing abou it.... the only thing that would require a temp sensor on my rangie would be the 'heater washer bottle' but i hight doubt Land Rover would put in temp sensor in... but i could be wrong

if its top is a push button like a switch its either a type of anti tamper switch or a remote start type switch sometimes used to unlock centeral locking without the key.

But Id be thinking more along the lines of a capacitor for noise supression.
