The local wrecker was very helpful, not!!!
He has 4 old RRs and wanted $250 for a box to pull to bits - then said they all work fine - yeah right! So that's why they've been junked, eh???
Wouldn't budge, even tho I said he could have it back...
I just thought I'd pull one down, take lotsa pics and post em here for our perusal... however....

I'll be dropping big red at lucas's for the duration of my perth stay (bout 4 weeks) and while my current time and space for the trip doesnt allow for any lollygogging time in melbourne Im hoping either your or his movements will get you within cooee of each other for a quick hand off and then the said item can be just dumped in the back of big red....
I probabley wont have time to even look at it untill say march april next year. so its not super urgent, IF need be I'll just pay to freight it up/source one locally after the posting/hope the AULRO express (potential sub catagory title???) gets up and running in time to get it moved.
oh and Rovercare, when you pull one apart, you'll see lots of little things that look like wheels with notches in em, they are called GEARS...originally the things they came mounted in were squareish in shape like a BOX one might say, the logical name would be wiat for it... wait for it...

Transmission is what we did at the tv station - transmit, radio waves...
(I thought we were tv, so why were they radio waves, they should've been tv waves).
And the local links were microwaves, but they couldn't cook anything.

I'll ensure Jeffrey has a word with Sir Humbert about such terms and removes all automatic gearboxes from all future Land Rovers.

Where would i see LOTS of gears in an automatic TRANSMISSION, they have tha planetary gearsets and ummm, ummmm oh thats right a total of bugger all
