Hi All,
Just puting my diff back under the disco (FINALLY!!) and have the disk guard things off, i have heard in the past they are not worth having as they collect just as much crap as they deflect, so should i bother puting them back on???
Thanks,
Mick.

And if they are cracked around the bolt holes, just weld them up and use large washers under the bolts.

No, you're better putting them back on......even if they deflect only some of the dirt your ahead.......main thing they're designed to do is deflect side splash of water/mud/ small+large rocks from the much bigger exposed side surface of the discs.....small pebbles etc jammed in them ARE a nuisance, but overall, your better off with them than with out.........Also they help control cooling air flow over the disc to some degree.![]()
Keep an eye on them cause they do fatigue crack. I lost both of mine on my last trip. Too many corrigations across the Great Central road.![]()
