There main concern was in case of an accident the possibility of a spark and gas fumes being in a contained area. Under the bonnet is more ventilated and there is gas shut off valves that switch off the system when the engine has stalled minimising the risk of fire. The rules may of changed, but like I said , just check it out. I think their thoughts were that incase of an accident the seals that vent the gas outside could be broken. . Brad
