i know what you all are thinking, but you can lead them to water but you cant make them drink,my son has bought himself a b...dy pajero 1984 with the sigma motor and now the clutch has gone, the book says that you have to take the motor out to replace.does anyone know if i can just remove the gearbox to do this.dont worry i have been giving him hell for not listening to the old man etc.

Shoguns are not a bad rig, but they need to have a few problems sorted.
Ditch the Jap running gear, Ditch the Jap styling, Ditch the Jap build...............

Ohhh yeah... that leaves you nothing... then buy a RANGIE

I've often found that its easier to pull the motor than the gearbox anyway for a clutch replacement.

the motor is usually just the bell housing bolts...a few wires.....a throttle cable.....a couple of engine mounts.......radiator hoses....
and the engine pipe....and the block and tackle does all the work....plus youre working from above.......

the box has the transfer on it.....and two prop shafts....and cross members.....and the bell housing bolts.....and the clutch release......and the trim
inside to get the gear levers off.......and youre doing the whole lot flat on your back.....with a face full of mud and dirt......
and the box and transfer are BLQQDY heavy.......

when the engines out you can also give it a good degrease......check/replace welsh plugs.....and fix any leaks that it might have....
    such as rear main.....

those engines were pretty simple and had plenty of room around them.....

She wants to drive it and show thayt its cheaper than the 130. Doesn't help when friends say that if it blows up just throw another sigma at it.
