    Defender/110 brake calipers.

Just a quick question for those that have reconditioned the front brake calipers on a defender or county before. How free are the pistons supposed to be in caliper? When filled with fluid should much effort be required to push one in and the others out? Trying to work out if mine are unusually stiff.

    Cheers

they'll be stiff, thats part of how they work.... when you go to reassemble a fery light buffing with the finest grade wet and dry to the bore and piston (minus the seals and clean up thoroughly be fore assembly) if your really concerened about it,

Thanks, for that. Haven't dealt with Landrover calipers before. Motorbikes are easyier to move.

Even car ones are a bugger to move so I would expect the Defender ones to require a clamp.
